Daylight Saving Time 2023

Get ready to change those clocks! Daylight Saving Time starts on March 12th, at 2 a.m. There's not too many clocks that don't fix themselves these days, but for those that need it, spring forward one hour!

Although according to Reuters we might not be dealing with Daylight Saving Time too much longer. In 2022 a bill was approved by the Senate called the "Sunshine Protection Act". This would effectively stop us from needing to change our clocks twice a year. Now even though it was approved, it is not currently in effect due to the fact members of the House of Representatives were in disagreement in regards to keeping the US in "daylight saving time" or "standard time".

Daylight Saving Time is a great way to enjoy more sunlight throughout the day although this leaves the morning in the dark. Whereas if we permanently stuck to standard time, the mornings would be filled with sunlight but there wouldn't be as much sunlight later on in the day to enjoy outdoor extracurricular activities.
